New Catalog

A 371-page print catalog from Currey & Company was issued in April, 2009. It includes 185 pages of chandeliers and wall sconces as well as 118 pages of table and floor lamps. The catalog also includes sections for furniture & accessories and garden furniture & accessories. Each section of the catalog is color-coded for easy reference.

The next brochure will be available in October 2009 at the High Point market.

Arts Award Winner!

Currey & Company has won the 18th Annual Arts Award for portable lighting. The award was presented at the Arts Award ceremony in Dallas, Texas, January 20, 2007.

This honor reflects the influence Currey & Company head designer, Tom Caldwell, has had on the portable lighting collection in just slightly under three years with the company. The work he has done to recreate the portable lighting collection has been dramatic and well received.

Tom Caldwell has been working in the lighting industry since he was a teen-ager and his skill at creating table and floor lamps is unrivaled in the lighting industry. His look can be traditional or it can be contemporary or transitional.

He is able to work with a variety of materials and styles. His skill in shading a lamp is also worth noting: The wrong shade can "make or break" a lamp and his eye for proportions and his feel for materials enables him to create the right shade for any lamp.

This combination of talents has created a well-balanced collection of table and floor lamps. There is a lamp appropriate for almost any décor in the collection.

Tom Caldwell’s skills play a large role in Currey & Company’s recognition as a leader in portable lighting. Currey & Company is fortunate to have him on their team.
